Read Across America - Dr. Seuss's Birthday - February 28th - March 3rd

Please join us in celebrating "Read Across America" and Dr. Seuss's birthday by participating in the following school wide spirit days to promote reading awareness!


Tuesday - Multi-colored socks, one red sock and one blue, any crazy socks will do

Wednesday - Wear stripes or black and white

Thursday - For a sleepover, slumber party or going to bed, come to school in your pajamas instead

Friday-One fish, two fish, red fish, blue fish, wear red and blue, or both if you wish

PTO Book Fair - March 6-10

Students will be able to purchase books during their library time during the week.


Joe Bauer has assumed the role of school counselor at Silver Hills Elementary.  As the school counselor his primary responsibility is to promote the personal, social and academic development of all students.  A letter has gone home with all students this week introducing Mr. Bauer.  If you need to reach him please call 556-1556 or email him at

If your physical address is outside the Wallace School District boundary and considering having your children attend SHES OR WJSH you need to complete an open enrollment form. Those forms go to the school board for approval at the monthly board meeting. Children can't start school until getting board approval.  Forms can be picked up at the WSD office in Silverton or call the office at Silver Hills Elementary 208-556-1556.
